Getting started: overview

The Getting Started section of the portal walks a new organisation through the initial setup of Agilicus AnyX. It is a task board: each task links to a short guide that helps you complete one part of the setup, and you mark each task complete as you finish it.

The tasks

There are seven tasks, in the recommended order:

  1. Connect to sites. Create the connector that links your site to the Agilicus cloud. See Connect to sites.
  2. Identify users. Configure the sources of user authentication and identity. See Identify users.
  3. Expose a resource. Configure the name and access for each resource. See Expose a resource.
  4. Assign permissions. Assign users, groups, and permissions for access to those resources. See Assign permissions.
  5. Audit a user. Diagnose user access issues and demonstrate user and resource access audit. See Audit a user.
  6. Setup payment. Understand billing and set up a payment method. See Setup payment.

Each task can be completed in any order, but the sequence above is the recommended path because later tasks assume earlier ones are in place (for example, you need a connector before you can expose a resource through it).

How the task board works

  • The board lists each task with a short description of what it covers.
  • Click a task to open its guide.
  • When you have finished a task, toggle the mark complete switch on the guide page.
  • Completed tasks show a checkmark on the board.
  • If you prefer, you can dismiss the Getting Started section and use the regular navigation instead.

What you need before you start

  • An Agilicus AnyX organisation (this is created during sign-up).
  • A domain name you can control, to set up the CNAME that points at the Agilicus service.
  • An identity provider your users will sign in with (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Active Directory, or another provider).
  • A device at your site where the connector can run.
