A Resource is an individual service (protocol + endpoint) on the network.
For example,
ssh to your router.Each service is individually controlled as to who can use it,
and how they can use it.

Resource types include:

 * Web Application
 * Share
 * ssh
 * Desktop (Microsoft Remote Desktop and VNC)
 * Network (port-forward via service forwarder)
 * Launcher (desktop application)

Each resource type has a set of common properties (e.g. name, icon, network address),
and, a set of unique properties (e.g. ssh has encryption keys, web applications
have web application firewall rules).

Users are assigned permissions on an individual resource (or resource group) basis.
They interact with resources through a web interface (https://profile.__MYDOMAIN__),
or, via the their native desktop applications.
